Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Mrs. Teiathe new spin-off of the Spider-Man universe.
The film directed by SJ Clarkson (The defenders) will be released in theaters on February 16, 2024.
In the trailer we see the character Cassandra Webb, played by Dakota Johnson, dealing with her newly acquired powers and having mysterious encounters with a man from her mother’s past.
Meanwhile, in another universe… Madame Web tells the solo film story of the origin story of one of Marvel’s most enigmatic heroines. The thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a Manhattan paramedic who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to face revelations about her past, she forms relationships with three young women destined for a powerful future… if they can survive the menacing present.

The film’s cast includes Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), Emma Roberts (Family wedding), Isabela Merced (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) and Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation).
About Madame Teia
The character appeared in the Spider-Man comics. Cassandra Webb was born with poor vision and a neurological disease that gave her psychic and clairvoyant powers. In the comics, the character discovered Peter Parker’s identity through her powers and helped the hero in some missions.
In addition to Webb, Julia Carpenter, who is played by Sydney Sweeney in the film, also took on the role of Madame Teia.

In addition to Madame Teia, Sony’s “Teioso” cinematic universe includes Kraven the Hunterdue out in 2024, and the third film in the series Venonestarring Tom Hardy, which is expected to debut in November next year.
