Rustin : Bayard Rustin, the architect of the historic 1963 March on Washington, is among the world’s most important activists and organizers. He defied authority and never apologized for who he was, what he thought or who he wanted. And he never gave up. He wrote history, but, unfortunately, he was forgotten very soon. In Rustin, he is played by Emmy Award winner Colman Domingo.
Directed by George C. Wolfe, the feature film finally sheds light on the life of this extraordinary man who, along with giants like the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell Jr. and Ella Baker, dared to imagine a different world. and inspired the movement in its march to freedom.
