Good news keeps coming for our favorite movies and series. After announcing the end of the strike in Hollywood – for both actors and writers – studios can finally resume production. This is especially true of the Alien series.
Alien: Release date, plot, casting… Everything we know about the movie-inspired series
in the given interview DeadlineShowrunner Noah Hawley (Fargo) has revealed that filming will resume fairly quickly after a 4-month hiatus, targeting late-year/early 2024.
Fortunately for fans of the franchise, who are eagerly awaiting this new version, the writing team finished writing the scripts before the strike.
Production of Alien even continued in Bangkok during the cast layoff, since much of the (British) cast is not affiliated with SAG-AFTRA. If the strike delayed his schedule, the showrunner explained that he had begun editing the first episode of the series (shot before the strike).
The Alien series, currently on hold for 2024, will focus on the first Xenomorph to arrive on Earth. The action takes place before and 70 years after Ridley Scott’s 1979 film.
It will feature some pretty young characters played by actors Sydney Chandler (Kyle Chandler’s daughter), Alex Lowther (F**King World’s End), Samuel Blenkin (Black Mirror) and Keith Young (Shadow and Bone).
The series is produced by Hulu for its FX platform. It should logically be broadcast in France on Disney+.
