Chicago Fire: This star of the series after almost 10 seasons announces his departure

As previously revealed, Chicago Fire will indeed return for a 12th season. Unfortunately, that good news comes today with a sad announcement from the NBC series (the channel that broadcasts the show in the US): one of the fire crew members is actually getting ready to leave their gear in the locker room for good!

Cara Kilmer leavesChicago Fire

Cara Kilmer will unfortunately leave Chicago Fire… as reported by specialized American media varietyThe one who slipped into the skin of Sylvie Brett will at least appear in the credits of the drama in the first part of the twelfth season. On the other hand, we don’t know exactly how many episodes the actor will appear in.

The lead actor joined the cast of Chicago Fire in Season 3 and has since appeared in 193 episodes! Kara Kilmer also played her role in another spin-off series of the franchise Chicago such as Chicago Med and the Chicago Police Department.

A happy ending for Brett?

In the Chicago Fire storylines, Brett has a relationship with Matt Casey. The role of the latter is played by Jesse Spencer, but the actor decided to leave the series at the end of the 10th season. However, he returned occasionally during season 11.

In the final scenes of this eleventh salvo, Casey actually proposed to Brett! However, the heroine now lives in another state… this could indicate that Brett will follow her future husband and leave Chicago! Bets are placed…

Either way, one thing is for sure, after months of going on strike, the Chicago Fire writers finally started writing the next adventures of the firefighter on October 4th. Filming is set to resume on Sunday, November 27th… with the return of Taylor Keane as Kelly Severide! To be continued.
