The HAYLOU W1 ANC headphones debut promising Hi-Fi sound at a more affordable price

New version of the HAYLOU W1, the ANC model debuts which stands out for its improved sound, expanded battery, refined graphics and more powerful noise cancellation

Known for smartwatches and other wearable devices intelligence that develops, the Haylou announced this Monday (20) the W1 ANC headphones, an improved premium version of W1 TWS launched in 2021. Apart from having a refined design, the device brings a significant increase in battery life, improved drivers to deliver Hi-Fi sound quality, active noise cancellation (ANC) technology and many other new features.

Despite having similar specifications to those of the previous model, the HAYLOU W1 ANC bets in driver improvements to provide “high definition Hi-Fi sound”. We still have a pair of drivers per capsule, one of which is dynamic and the other with balanced armature to ensure better coverage of sound frequencies, but the dynamic models have increased, which have gone from 7 mm to 10 mm.

To manage them, the brand used a custom chip that would be 40% cheaper, would increase the stability of the Bluetooth signal by 50% and would provide an algorithm processing of up to 125% compared to the previous model, the latter being one of the strengths. of the launch. According to HAYLOU, the low-frequency dynamic and electronic crossover algorithms would adapt in real time to provide better sound quality.

As the name of the accessory suggests, the ANC function with transparency mode is another strong point, being a novelty for the W1 line. Using three microphones in each capsule, the resource would be able to eliminate up to 45 dB of external noise, a very high value for the category, which usually removes 32 dB on average.

The connection is made via Bluetooth 5.3, which not only guarantees simultaneous connectivity with multiple devices, but also guarantees a latency of just 65 ms, one of the lowest on the market, a crucial element for those who want to play with headphones. Even more interestingly, the full-bodied performance wouldn’t have a drastic impact on the battery.

With ANC activated, the HAYLOU W1 ANC would offer up to 4h30 of continuous audio playback, reaching a total of 25h of use with the additional cost of the case. With the ANC deactivated, the new feature extends the autonomy and can guarantee up to 6h30 of playback, reaching 35h of use with the additional breathing space guaranteed by the carrying case: an increase of 10h compared to that provided by the traditional W1. The bad news is that there’s no wireless charging available.

Closing the box, the launch features a dedicated management app to control EQ and other features, a black and white color view with a metallic lid and IPX4 certification for splash resistance, and touch controls integrated into the stems.

Price and availability

The HAYLOU W1 ANC will be on pre-sale this Monday (20th) on the brand’s official website e via AliExpress, with a suggested price of US$99 (~R$480) and expected availability on Thursday (23rd). Users who purchase during this period will get a special discount, getting the accessory for US$37.59 (~R$190).
