Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the third part of the most famous adventure saga, is a pure joy of entertainment. The feature film, which sees a famous archaeologist come face-to-face with an evil billionaire and go in search of the Grail, is a perfect mix of action, change of scenery, humor and emotion, which is still a pleasure to watch again (and for which you have to pause 10 minutes and 10 seconds to discover the real indie!).
- Want another TV tip tonight? We recommend an extraordinary war film from one of Quentin Tarantino’s masters!
Hitting theaters in 1989, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade follows Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, released in 1981 and 1984 respectively.
The Magic Team is back with Steven Spielberg on camera and Harrison Ford as Indy. The big asset (and great idea) of this new opus? Sean Connery’s presence in the credits as Indy Sr. is evident, offering viewers some delicious moments between father and son.
Note the presence in the credits of a young River Phoenix, who portrays a teenage adventurer. Announced in Stand by Me and dedicated to Gus Van Sant’s My Own Private Idaho, the young American, too fast for James Dean, died 4 years later at the age of 23 of an overdose, leaving a career as fleeting as a cult.
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by AlloCiné viewers, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a true must-see in adventure cinema. If you’ve never seen this little classic, give it a listen tonight!
And take advantage, be crazy to repeat the entire saga, the latest opus of which, The Dial of Destiny, was released in theaters this year.
