Botafogo is defining the situations of some names of the current management and will deal with the renewal of two professionals. The sporting director André Mazzuco and the Scoutmaster Alessandro Brito, under contract until the start of next season, will remain at the club even longer. Now both will have their contracts extended until December 2025, as coach Tiago Nunes himself presented on Tuesday (21st).
The two, in fact, had an important role in the selection and choice of the new coach for the final part of the Brazilian Championship. They then helped the American John Textor, owner of SAF do Alvinegro, to bring Lucio Flavio’s replacement to command the team. By the way, Brito was also with Tiago during his time at Atletico-PR, acting as fundraising coordinator.
As the bond was nearing its end, the Scoutmaster do Botafogo has received some surveys from clubs in Europe and the Middle East. However, there is one less match, which will be played this Thursday (23rd), at 7pm, at Castelão, against Fortaleza. With 60 points, Cariocas will return to first place in the table if they win, pushing Palmeiras, currently with 62, into second place.

There is a possibility that Tiago Nunes will make some changes to the team that took the field with Lucio Flavio. Much criticized by the fans in recent times, Perri should remain in the starting lineup, given that the coach hinted, in the press conference, that he will not make any changes to the goal.
