Hamas releases video of the delivery of American hostages to the Red Cross


The victims were visiting relatives in Israel when they were abducted




OR Hamas released a video of the moment in which two women, held hostage by the terrorist group, were handed over to the Red Cross this Friday 20th. The victims live in WE and they were kidnapped while in Israel.

The released hostages are Judith AND Natalia Raanan, mother and daughter. Before being kidnapped and taken to the Gaza Strip, the victims were in a kibbutz in Nahal Oz, southern Israel.

They are the first people kidnapped by Hamas released since the war began on October 7. Negotiations for both women to gain freedom involved the Qatari government.

The two were taken to a military base in central Israel. The US government has said both will receive support.

Around 200 abducted people remain in the hands of Hamas. According to the BBC, the terrorist group has offered to release some hostages in exchange for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Most of the hostages are Israelis. However, according to the Israeli military, there are also citizens of countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy. Itamaraty says he has received no communications about Brazilians among the abductees.
