Marsupilami by Philippe Lacheau: Publication Date Announced! Be very, very patient!

After Tarek Boudali’s 3-day maximum, which has so far attracted 1.8 million viewers in French cinemas, the Fifi gang tackles Marsupillam.

Announced last June, the feature film, to be directed by Philippe Lashois, is a new adaptation of Andre Franckin’s work, 11 years after Alain Chabat’s version, which attracted 5.3 million viewers. The film is inspired by a comic book created by a Belgian author in 1952.

Pathe has just announced the release date for this adventure comedy: Marsupilami will therefore hit theaters on February 4, 2026.

While promoting Tarek Budal’s film, Philippe Lachaux told us that his seventh feature film as director is being written and his entire crew will be back in front of the camera.

Julien Arout, Tarek Budal And Elodie Fontaine – currently filming the French adaptation of Cat’s Eyes – is set to appear in the casting.

“Marsupillam is going really well, we’re in the middle of writing it. It’s a new world, it’s very exciting to write, like all new projects.Lasho told us.

As for the yellow creature with black spots, gifted with superhuman strength, about 1 meter in size and with a tail spread up to 8 meters, Philippe Lachaux remains mysterious, but tells us one thing: “It won’t be an actor, but if all goes well, there won’t be too much computer graphics either.”.

It is not yet known when the filming will begin marsupial will begin. To remind you, Alibi.com 2, the latest work of Philip Lachaux, brought 4.2 million viewers to our theaters.
