The director of Don’t Look Up has dropped Netflix… for good reason

It has been one of the most watched English-language films on Netflix since its inception, and its success with critics and the public was huge when it was released. For this comedy, Adam McKay assembled a four-star cast – like Don’t Look Up – that included Robert Pattinson, Robert Downey Jr., Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker and Daniel Deadweiler.

This new film was supposed to follow a serial killer (Robert Pattinson) who decides to enter politics in order to, with the help of a lobbyist (Amy Adams), try to change laws that will allow him to get away more easily.

In turn, Robert Downey Jr. was supposed to play a retired cop who still follows the case and tries his best to put a spoke in the wheels of a serial killer.

The screenwriter and director took on the threat of global warming in one of his battles earlier this year by founding the nonprofit Yellow Dot Studios, which produces videos and other materials aimed at raising public awareness of climate change. Climate emergency.

Netflix has yet to respond to the news, but according to Deadline , the platform has no plans to find a replacement for the average-height, average-build Adam McKay, and the film will simply be scrapped.
