Ibovespa closed modestly higher this Thursday, with shares of interest-sensitive companies among the highlights, in a session characterized by a downward trend in DI contract rates, while Sabesp retreated after yet another step towards the privatization of the largest sanitation company in the country.

Investors await finality on the fiscal front, including the vote on an interim measure providing tax exemption for investment subsidies, once again postponed, as well as new signals on the pace of the North American economy, with labor market data expected by Friday .

According to preliminary data, the reference index of the Brazilian stock exchange, Ibovespa, rose by 0.14%, to 125,803.14 points. At the high of the day it reached 126,581.04 points. At the minimum, at 125,565.53 points.

The financial volume amounts to 18.6 billion reais before final adjustments.
