If Astrid and Raphael mainly revolves around the friendship that gradually develops between the two characters, the France 2 detective series also gives pride of place to the love stories, especially between Astrid (Sarah Mortensen) and Tetsuo (Kengo Saito).
Since the second season, viewers have been watching the relationship between these two atypical characters. A relationship that culminated in season 3 with the two lovers kissing each other during a moving scene.
After attending the private concert of her favorite violinist, Astrid, full of emotions, decides to kiss the young man. This gesture is all the more striking because the young woman does not want any physical contact.
While promoting Season 4 of Astrid and Raphaëlle, currently airing every Friday on France 2, Sarah Mortensen (who explained why Astrid wears a hat to sleep) made a surprise confession about the shocking sequence that left viewers reeling.
“I don’t remember filming this scene“- confided the actor. “I never know how Astrid will react. For this scene, I left the character completely alone and let him have it. I discovered this scene while watching it, but it took me a while to get up the courage to watch it..”
The birth of desire
Season 4 also sees the relationship between the two characters develop significantly as they grow closer as the episodes progress. And Astrid for the first time has a desire for her friend.

And if Astrid and Tetsuo’s characters have such great chemistry on screen, it’s thanks to Kengo Saito, as the actor explained. “He was born to play this role. I have never been with an actor so gentle, quiet, respectful, and with whom I am so complicit. I’m not sure Sara and Kengo talk more than Astrid and Tetsuo, but we have a strong bond..”
A bond that will therefore only grow stronger as Season 4 progresses. Even to the point where Astrid starts asking Raffaele (Lola Deware) for honest advice.
