The release of Zack Snyder’s new film is definitely eagerly awaited by the fans of the new master of the American blockbuster. The Man of Steel and Justice League director returns this winter with Rebel Moon, a brand new Netflix movie that dates back more than twenty years.
At the time, the filmmaker – who wasn’t as well known as he is today – envisioned the script as a sequel to the original Star Wars trilogy. Considered too dark, the story was adapted by George Lucas before selling his company Lucasfilm Ltd. Disney will finally end Zack Snyder’s hopes of seeing the light of day with Rebel Moon.
But over the years, encouraged by producers Eric Newman and Deborah Snyder (his wife), Zack Snyder reworked his story to completely separate himself from the Star Wars universe and develop his own mythology. Thus, Rebel Moon is released as a feature film divided into two parts: child of fire and Slasher.
And while the first part of the diptych was supposed to be released on Netflix on December 22 at nine in the morning, a new trailer finally revealed that the film will be released on the platform a little earlier.
That’s why the release of Rebel Moon has been delayed by a few hours, as the feature film will be available on Netflix from four in the morning in France. Vacationers and early risers will have the opportunity to discover a Zack Snyder film at dawn!
The film Rebel Moon part 1: Child of Fire can be seen on Netflix from December 22 at four o’clock in the morning; Part 2: L’Entailleuse will be available on April 19th.
