The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) published this Monday (11th) the list of nominees for the 2024 Golden Globes. In total, there will be two more awards up for grabs compared to the last edition: Cinematographic and Box Office Achievement and Best Stand – Up Comic Performance.
The list of nominees for the 81st edition of the award was announced by comedian Cedric the Entertainer and actor Wilmer Valderrama. On TV, the big highlight was Succession, with nine nominations in total. The fourth and final season of the HBO Max series competes in the main category, Outstanding Drama Series, but also dominates the acting categories, with Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong competing for the award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.
At Cinema, Barbie was nominated for nine categories and Oppenheimer at eight. Both are on the list of nominees in the main categories: Best Film – the first competes as a comedy, the second as a drama -, Best Screenplay and Best Director.
The 2024 Golden Globes will take place on January 7 and will once again be televised in the United States on CBS and Paramount+. Here in Brazil there is no information yet on the transmission of the award. The information comes from Omelette. Check out the list of nominees below.
