Netflix announced this Monday (11th) its latest foray into the sports market. And the choice of the moment was tennis. Tennis is one of the most loved and charismatic players on the circuit: the Spanish Rafael Nadal.
The second greatest Grand Slam winner in history will face compatriot Carlos Alcaraz, the current world No. 2, in an exclusive match on the streaming service on March 3, 2024.

The match will take place at the Michelob Ultra Arena, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, in Las Vegas (USA). The streaming service calls the event The Netflix Slam.
Netflix is studying the launch of new programs under the label The Netflix Slam, with the selection of other historical players.
This will be the company’s second time in the live sports industry.
The first time wasn’t so good
Netflix hosted its first live sporting event last month.
The live broadcast brought together the Formula 1 drivers from their documentary series Drive to survive with professional golfers from Full pace.
The stars were Formula 1 drivers Alex Albon (Williams), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Lando Norris (McLaren) and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) along with PGA Tour golfers Rickie Fowler, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas.
Despite expectations, some users complained, as there were some audio and frame rate problems during the broadcast.
The live broadcast, however, did not stop at any time.
