Launching on November 3rd, Blue Eyed Samurai is Chanbara (Name given to Japanese sword films, Editor’s Note) of eight episodes. Written by Michael Green (Logan) and Amber Noizumi, the series follows a mixed-race samurai who searches for his mother’s killers in Edo-era Japan.
A tribute to the films of Japanese chanbara and Akira Kurosawa in particular, Blue Eyed Samurai was an instant hit with Netflix subscribers. French animation studio Blue Spirit is no stranger to madness, whose excellent works have been praised by Internet users.
We had to wait more than a month for the series to finally be updated by the platform. The producer of the program also appealed to fans to publicize the series and ensure that its episodes are watched to the end, which is a necessary condition to ensure the renewal of the Netflix production.
