On Thursday, December 14, it all starts here…

Kelly confronts her father

Jasmine, Kelly and Lionel talk to Laetia about the bailiff’s letter they found in the trunk of Thomas’ car. Kelly then suggests that her father sabotaged the atelier’s furnace to kill himself over his debts. Laetitia does not believe for a second, because according to her, Thomas is a fighter. To find out, Kelly decides to go talk to her father.

Meanwhile, Jimmy leaves the police station. His lawyer informs that the prosecutor should drop the case in a few weeks. Indeed, his army chiefs were sensitive to the reasons for his desertion. Jimmy is doing well. His father comes to pick him up. He spent the morning with his son. This makes Jim happy.

Kelly, on the other hand, is drinking coffee with her father. She confronts him directly about his money problems and tries to find out if he was considering suicide. Thomas explains that he did turn off the oven alarm, but only to burn his hands during the first-year exam. His hands were covered by insurance, which would allow him to cover all his debts. He didn’t think anyone but him would be using the oven in the meantime. After that, Thomas makes his daughter promise not to tell anyone. He plans to intentionally injure his hands again in the next lesson.

In the locker room, Thibault is still flirting with Jasmine, as is Jim, who joins them. After hearing what Kelly told his brother, Jimmy promises that nothing happened to Jasmine. Thibaut finally believes them. The trio now await Thomas’ sentencing for the furnace explosion.

Jasmine and Jimmy go to the commissary to find out if Kelly has talked to her dad yet. He insists he hasn’t yet. Although Jimmy pressures her, she says she prefers to take care of herself. Jasmin expresses sympathy and support for her friend.

A teary-eyed Kelly is late for her baking class. He tries to stop his father from doing something stupid, but it’s too late. Thomas is determined. He chooses to show the students how to use a bread slicer to cause an accident. Suddenly, Tessier and Leroy arrive at the workshop, preventing Thomas from breaking his fingers. The latter understands that Kelly has warned management of his intentions…

Salome is the head of the Christmas brigade

Anais walks into the kitchen to see how Salome is making lunch. Anais admits she’s glad she doesn’t have to worry about Double A this week because she’s so far behind on her master’s project.

At the same time, Teissier arrives to announce to Salome that he will be in charge of the Christmas Brigade starting next week. Until then, Judy replaces him in Double A. Salome is surprised that the director does not offer the position to Anais rather than Jude. Teissier replies that Anais is not in such a state these days at all. The young woman confirms that she did not feel in top shape after breaking up with Theo.

At Swamp’s roommate, Carla calls her parents to tell them about their miscarriage. The latter insists on coming home and celebrating Christmas with them. Even if she’s not too excited, Carla accepts. Rose then offers to join them, but Carla refuses.

A little later, Rose prepares to check out her roommate. She thanks Anais for taking care of Carla, as well as the other housemates. Anais emphasizes that having Rose by Carla’s side is equally appreciated. Rose then confides that she was really hoping to find a place with Carla and her family, but she realizes it’s too much.

Meanwhile, Carla decides to go for a walk with Suleiman and Berenice. As she puts on her coat, she finds tomato juice in her pocket – the only drink she could tolerate during her pregnancy. Displaced, Carla begins to feel guilty, then withdraws. Although Berenia reminds her that she has every right to be sad, Carla explains that she needs to take action to move on.

Later, Berenice talks to Anais. The latter then offers Salome to take Carla as a clerk in his Christmas brigade. It would give him a chance to stay out of trouble and also an excuse to go home with his parents for the holidays. Salome accepts.

A spicy challenge for Ethan and David

In the hallway, Deva and David meet Ethan alone, looking sad. The latter admits that it is difficult for him to cope with consecutive breakups, as well as the loss of a friend, in this case Leonard. Ethan decides to focus again on his studies and especially on the upcoming exams. David suggests looking at both.

In the atelier, two guys prepare a scallop carpaccio, as well as a citrus vinaigrette. They decide to add chili pepper for seasoning. Instead of using Espelette pepper, Ethan makes the mistake of using bird pepper. Ethan and David burn their tongues while tasting the vinaigrette. Amused by this experience, they set themselves a challenge: to taste all kinds of peppers, from the mildest to the strongest.

Later, Deva discovers that the boys are rolling in brioche to try to soothe their palates. They recount their experience to Deva, who discovers that they are completely unaware of their altered taste buds a few days before the exams.
