After “Barbie,” Mattel is planning a movie about another doll

Mattel took a big gamble when they decided to launch it Barbie in theaters and is reaping a lot of fruit so far. But don’t think that the company plans to stop venturing into the cinematic world after so much success. The company is already thinking about the next production and has even ordered a new film about the dolls. The highlight will be American Girl.

The feature film will be born from a partnership between Mattel, Paramount Pictures and Temple Hill, the production company responsible for the saga Dusk.

The person who will direct the adaptation is director Lindsey Anderson Beer, responsible for the last film in the series Damn cemetery.

As a child, my sister and I had American Girl dolls. I had Kirsten and she had Molly. They didn’t seem like dolls to play with, but real people whose worlds we imagined ourselves in. They are historically accurate toys and accessories that feature elaborate and engaging backstories that are particularly suited to being displayed on screen

The American Girl line of dolls began to be produced by Mattel in the late 1980s. The specimens represent different eras in the history of the United States. The line also included companion books about the life of dolls.

There is no release date for the new film yet. The information comes from Omelette.
