What is it about?

Mark Wahlberg, 52, is a popular actor who has been active in comedy and action for some time. With his new movie The Family Plan available on Apple TV+, he proves once again that he excels when he combines the two.

In this family drama directed by Simon Selan Jones (Ballers, The Diplomat), Mark Wahlberg plays an ordinary father and ex-secret agent who must combine his two identities to protect his family.

He takes his wife and children to Las Vegas to protect them from old enemies. And while this extraordinary man’s family has the best vacation ever, they also quickly discover this super dad’s incredible secret.

After all, isn’t being a parent sometimes like being a secret agent with all the responsibilities and skills that entails? Mark Wahlberg’s character knows everything from changing diapers to cooking to killing enemies, all while holding a baby at arm’s length!

Obviously, all his adventures will create crises in this dysfunctional family that has trouble communicating and supporting each other. Although he is overwhelmed by events, this multitasking but paradoxically clumsy father, played by Mark Wahlberg, manages to unite his entire small family in love, sharing, and crime.

With a good sense of rhythm, the family plot alternates between comical family scenes and explosive action scenes. We can’t get enough of this well-crafted entertainment, with a fantastic soundtrack and some French references from actor Said Taghmaoui in the casting and a declaration of love (with lyrics in French) from Mark Wahlberg!

If the actor is the highlight of the film, the rest of the cast is impeccable, especially the children (and a very cute child), but especially Michelle Monaghan and Maggie Q, who are as funny as they are ruthless.

It hits the entertainment mark even more as we feel that the entire cast has invested 100% in the production of this film. Moreover, Mark Wahlberg performed all but the most dangerous of his stunts, as did the twins Illana and Vena Norris, who portrayed little Max, in a small sequence, like the already iconic supermarket scene, completely safe. Of course, safety. !
