The final phase of USP’s selection process will select students for the university’s more than 8,000 vacancies in undergraduate courses

The second phase of Fuvest 2024 kicks off this Sunday (17th). The last phase of the selection process for University of Sao Paulo (USP) for the year 2024 is divided into two days and this time asks candidates for conversational questions and an essay. It is the first time in the history of Fuvest that the test is at an advanced stage, taking place in December. The university will offer 8,147 places across 180 undergraduate courses next year. For the second phase, around 30 thousand candidates were called.

On this first day, everyone answers 10 questions portoguese language AND Literature, and create textual productions in the genre of argumentative dissertation. Tomorrow, Monday (18th), is the day of specific subjects, which vary depending on the career chosen by the candidate.

On both days students will have four hours to solve the tests. According to the Candidate Handbook, there will be no additional time to transcribe the answer sheet, therefore it is important that the candidate checks their time using the clock available in the room.

Timetables

The recommendation is to arrive at least an hour early at the application locations. The gates open at noon and close at 1pm Brasilia time. The minimum period of stay in the room is two hours.

Allowed and prohibited materials

Fuvest establishes a list of rules regarding objects allowed within the test site. For example, wearing hats, caps or sunglasses is prohibited.
