Un Si Grand Soleil Preview: Episode Summary for Tuesday, December 19, 2023 [SPOILERS]

Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the episode of Un Si Grand Soleil airing tomorrow night on France 2! If you don’t want to understand anything, don’t read the following!

Will Ian kill himself?

Pierre Luhan is dead. It is still dark when Commissioner Becker arrives at the crime scene. At the scene, Hugo informs him that Pierre was killed at close range at 8:30 p.m., then heads to the Institute of Forensic Science to conduct an autopsy. Alex explains that Emma can’t answer their questions right now because she’s still in shock.

According to initial reports, there was no attack. Since this is a door that can only be opened from the inside, Pierre must have seen his attacker. It is possible that he knew her. In fact, Ian becomes a suspect again. So Commissioner Becker asks Alex to contact him, but also to call Henri Lebrun.

Without waiting, Alex goes to Johanna’s house and asks to talk to Ian. The lawyer then points out that he hasn’t heard anything from his partner since this morning. He also claims that he has been trying to contact her all day but to no avail. Alex finally tells her that Pierre was killed and that they suspect Ian of killing him. Therefore, they should check his schedule. Only, Johanna can’t tell him anything more.

The next morning, Jeanette tells Claire and David that Pierre has been found murdered in his home. Although the news comes as a shock to everyone, Dr. Lewis hopes the team members will focus on their work.

At the police station, Alex questions Henri LeBrun about his schedule the day before. Therefore, the latter says that he went shopping at the hypermarket before returning home at 20:30. As the policeman promises to check his alibi, Henri Lebrun swears he had nothing to do with the murder. When the policeman asks if he saw Ian yesterday, Henri Lebrun explains that he spoke to him on the phone in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Johanna confides in Sabine how worried she is about Ian. It must be said that the lawyer has a very bad feeling. Since Ian is convinced that Pierre intended to kill his wife, he fears that he will do anything to get revenge.

Ian is in the parking lot after dark. Alone in his car, a policeman downs a bottle of rum before drawing his service weapon…

Aki met Estelle

Akim and Thierry are on patrol when they receive a radio call about a violent dispute at 18 rue des Lilas. Upon reaching there, the police found a certain Esteli, a masseuse, frightened. The latter explained to them that his client was attacking him. She said he was expecting a finishing massage, which she refused. His client punched him and then slammed him against a wall where he hit his head. It is at this moment that Estelle loses her mind. Luckily, Akim catches her before she falls to the ground and then takes her to the hospital. Later, Estelle thanks Akim, who leaves her number in case she needs it.

Thierry takes the attacker to the police station for questioning. As soon as he admitted the facts, he was informed that he would be brought before a judge on a charge of intentional violence.

In the afternoon, Akim calls Estelle to check on her. Although she suffered a minor concussion, the young woman was able to return home. Akim then tells her that her attacker has confessed and that he will be tried soon. So he will have to go to the police station to file a complaint to speed up the procedure. Estelle warmly thanks him.
