One of the most anticipated movies of 2024 has finished shooting! The 2024 version of Emmanuelle, directed by Audrey Dewan, was filmed in Hong Kong and Paris, in English. This project, taken from Emmanuel Arsani’s sulphurous novel, presents a new vision of this work.

While we knew that Noemi Merlant would be playing the lead role, we knew very little about the casting and story until now.

The curtain lifts slightly thanks Deadline who was able to speak with the director and on this occasion shares the very first official photo of the film.

In addition to Naomi Watts, whose name was recently revealed in the cast, we now know that Will Sharp (White Lotus) will play the male lead. Jamie Campbell Bower (Stranger Things), Chacha Huang (La Casa de Papel) and Anthony Wong (Infernal Affairs) will also be in the credits.

The synopsis is still a mystery, though Audrey Couch who wrote the screenplay in collaboration with Rebecca Zlotowski, revealed that he started from the original book. This is not a direct remake of the Just Jaeckin movie.
