“Spiderhead”: Chris Hemsworth’s film ranks # 1 in Netflix’s Top 10

The movie “Spiderhead”, starring Chris Hemsworth, reached the number one spot in Netflix’s top 10, occupying the most viewed position on the platform.

In addition to playing the actor best known for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Spiderhead” is directed by Joseph Kosinski, director of the hit “Top Gun: Maverick”.

“Spiderhead” entered Netflix’s top 10 after just a few days on the platform, after debuting on June 11th. Now, the film is at number 1 in several countries, such as the US, the UK and even Brazil.

The film’s story revolves around two inmates serving their sentences together in an unusual penitentiary. The location is a state-of-the-art facility run by the character of Chris Hemsworth, an unbridled visionary who experiments with mind-altering drugs on prisoners. The two prisoners, who are the protagonists of the story, are played by Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett.

“Spiderhead” is based on a New Yorker story written by George Saunders. The film received mixed reviews from critics, with many critics and viewers in general appreciating the premise but believing the story could have been better developed. However, Chris Hemsworth received praise for his performance.

In Spiderhead, inmates will have the opportunity to volunteer as guinea pigs in medical experiments in the near future to reduce their sentence. When one of the inmates is tested for a new drug that can generate feelings, he begins to question the reality of his emotions.

“Spiderhead” is available on the Netflix streaming platform.
