Petrobras signed on Thursday, with Enauta Energia, contracts for the sale of its entire interest in the Uruguá and Tambaú fields, in post-salt deep water, located in the Santos basin.
The amount that Petrobras will receive from the deal amounts to $35 million, of which $3 million will be paid on Thursday, $7 million to be paid upon closing of the deal and up to $25 million in advances, the state company said. .
The Uruguá and Tambaú fields represent less than 1% of Petrobras’ managed production in the Santos Basin, presenting a poor strategic fit in the company’s portfolio, Petrobras said.
