The artificial intelligence draws attention to the number of resources available in editing: in addition to the prompt, it is also possible to choose the framing and resolution of the video, adjust the frame rate per second and access a menu of camera controls for zooming . or rotate the image on the screen.

Pika accepts text instructions, but can also be used to create content over still images and videos saved on your device. By default, generated clips are three seconds long, but you can increase the time in the editing window and create trailers of up to one minute, entirely generated by AI.

The journey doesn’t end after the first request: the tool creates an edit window where you can edit the text command, refine the order, and compare the results with previous versions. All productions are saved in your user account. In a test carried out by CanaltechIt took Pika just under five minutes to create a video from text commands.

The startup Pika Labs received an initial investment of 55 million dollars to develop the tool and already has more than 100 thousand followers on Twitter).
