[Alerta de spoiler]
If you’ve watched Star Wars Episode IX, you know that the trilogy’s villain, Kylo Ren, dies while saving the Jedi Rey in the final battle against Emperor Palpatine.
But has the powerful son of Leia Organa and Han Solo really kicked the bucket and won’t be coming back at all? After all, this is Hollywood we’re talking about, folks… Maybe a resurrection here, or a flashback return there, an origin story…
The answer is no. This is according to Adam Driver himself, who brought Kylo/Ben Solo to life.
In a podcast interview Without intelligenceof fellow actors Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett, Driver brought an end to his story in one of cinema’s most important science fiction franchises.

“They are doing things, but not with me. I will not do it again”said the star.
Recall that Adam Driver also recently declared that he only discovered his character’s death during the recording of “The Rise of Skywalker”.
According to him, Kylo Ren’s redemption arc was not in the initial plans for the new trilogy.
Disney and Lucasfilm’s plans continue to include protagonist Rey (Daisy Ridley), who will return in the next film.
What we already know about the next Star Wars films
LucasFilm announced, in April 2023, the production of three new feature films, one of which will feature the return of Rey.
Without an official title (but it has everything to be Episode X), the idea is to show the protagonist as he builds a new Jedi Order in a galaxy far, far away. The film will be set 15 years after “The Rise of Skywalker.”
And the director has already been chosen: it will be Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, already responsible for “Ms. Marvel” and won the Oscar for best documentary short twice. The screenplay was written by Steven Knight, creator of “Peaky Blinders.”
Another project announced was a feature film to be directed by James Mangold, known as “Logan” and responsible for the next Indiana Jones.
The story will take place 25 thousand years before the events of the films and will deal with the origin of the Jedi. In an interview with Screen Rant, Mangold even called the project “Star Wars Zero.”
Finally, the third and final film of the new wave will be a sort of conclusion to the successful Star Wars universe series at Disney.
The film confirmed by Lucasfilm will be directed by Dave Filoni, creator of “Clone Wars”, and is expected to combine the stories told in “The Mandalorian”, “The Book of Boba Fett”, “Ahsoka”, among others.
The film’s plot is expected to focus on the war between the Imperials and the New Republic.
It is not yet known which of these will come out first. According to the magazine VarietyHowever, Disney is already working with 3 estimated release dates: May 22, 2026, December 18, 2026, and December 17, 2027.
