Titanic: Another drama to escape!

Iceberg. Shipwreck. The wooden board is too small for two people. And especially the tragic ending for Rose and Jack.

Everyone knows the sad conclusion of the Titanic, directed by James Cameron in 1997, and many viewers still remember how all the tears were shed in their bodies when they saw Leonardo DiCaprio gradually disappear into the icy waters of the ocean, the end.

But initially, as we found out by looking at the cut scenes of the film, another love story had to appear in the feature film with dramatic results. This novel was really about Fabricio, an Italian friend of Jack Dawson and a traveler of Norwegian descent named Helga.

In the traditional version of the film, their romance is hardly mentioned. Indeed, we just see how they change at first glance when they sneak into the liner corridors, at the beginning, and dance together for a few seconds at parties organized by third-class passengers.

However, their relationship seems to be much more developed with two sequences that eventually remain in the final cut. Also located during the evening, the first allows us to attend a meeting between two characters who discuss sitting in a corner. Then Fabricio tries to teach the young girl a few words of English.

The second scene (below) takes place in the second half of the movie when the Titanic sinks and the lowest passengers desperately try to climb to the top deck of the ship. After reuniting with friends, Jackie and Rose prepare to take them out and Fabricio asks Helga to follow them.

A young girl torn between a lover and her parents finally decides to stay with the family and the two lovers part after a passionate kiss exchange. “I will never forget you”Cries the young man and looks at Helga for the last time.

If this farewell is so tragic, it is because neither of the two characters escaped the sinking. Indeed, a little later in the film, Fabricio dies when one of the Titanic chimneys collapses on him. As for Helga, she finds herself next to Jack and Rose on the railing of the boat when the debris is vertical but finally lets go and falls to her death.

However, in the final seconds of the film, when Rose closes her eyes and finds all the passengers who have disappeared during the terrible sinking, we see Fabricio and Helga reunited in front of the main stairs of the Titanic.
