After the huge success of La Casa de Papel on Netflix, its creator Alex Pina decided to continue the franchise with a spin-off based on Berlin (Pedro Alonso). This new series, dedicated to one of the most popular characters in the universe, is now available on the platform for fans to enjoy.
In this prequel to La Casa de Papel, Andres de Fonolosa, aka Berlin, plans the heist of the century in France with a gang of seasoned robbers consisting of Kayla (Michelle Jenner), Damian (Tristan Ulloa), Cameron (Begona Vargas), Roy (Julio Peña) and Bruce (Joel Sanchez).
their target? A collection of royal jewels from all over Europe worth 44 million euros and is kept at the Maison des Enchères Chez Vienot in Paris. Of course, the gang hatched an unstoppable plan to steal this treasure and escape France without a hitch.
Except that love gets involved and undermines Berlin’s strategies. The latter falls under the spell of Camille (Samantha Siqueiros), wife of François Polignac (Julien Pascal), director of sales at Maison des Enchères Chez Vienot.
This adulterous affair will cause many disappointments and, above all, it will endanger Berlin and his group, which is actively sought by the police, led by police officers Raquel Murillo (Itsiaar Ituno) and Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri).
So will Berlin and the others succeed in their heist? Are they going to catch the investigators? Will the various love stories come to an end?
How does the Berlin series end?
It can be said that the Berlin series ends on a positive note. Indeed, thanks to raids and other diversions, the gang pulls off their robbery (with some losses) and manages to elude the police.
Cameron and Roy went their separate ways (and finally confessed their feelings to each other), as did Kayla and Bruce (who grew considerably closer) and Berlin and Damian ran off as a duo.
If the group carried out their plan, it was not without loss and uproar. Camille discovered that Berlin was behind the jewel theft, for which she tried to blame her husband Francois.
Camille is completely shocked by Berlin, but has no time to get over it when she discovers that Francois has been leading a double life with another woman and their child. A young woman was betrayed by two men in her life.

After saying goodbye to Camille, Berlin finds the rest of the gang at a previously designated hideout in Spain, where the group can celebrate the success of their heist. But the story does not end there.
Five months later, in Madrid, Camille finds Berlin in her favorite cafe to trap her. He wears a microphone and wants to scare her into telling him the whole truth. The two even share an intimate moment.
Camille leaves and returns minutes later with her best friend to blackmail her and demand 40% of her loot, claiming she will send the tapes to the police if she doesn’t. But Berlin is always one step ahead and he foiled his plan by deleting the tapes.
However, Berlin still agrees to give him the money and return to France without leaving a note on one of the tickets: “See you on June 23rd at the Blue Moon Bar in Singapore. Love you”.
Quietly, after they eluded the police, leaving behind thousands of DNA samples and a random sketch at the crime scene, Berlin and Damian were reunited.
The two friends are proud of the coup, but they are already thinking about preparing a new heist, especially since Berlin is now dry, having given Camille its share of loot. Another Berlin robbery in the offing?
The Berlin series is available on Netflix.
