The husband took the body to hospital after falling down the stairs at home
A 71-year-old woman was admitted dead on Monday night (1) to the hospital in Civita Castellana, in the province of Viterbo, Italy, brought by her husband.
The man reported that the old woman had fallen on the stairs of her house after an illness, in the city of Sant’Oreste, in the province of Rome.
However, the doctors found that the injuries were not compatible with this version and called the police officers.
The man was taken to the police station and the Tivoli Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the case.
Investigators want to know, for example, whether there have been previous incidents of domestic violence of any kind.
During an initial inspection of the house, the police found objects with traces of blood.
To date, no previous complaints filed by the victim have been identified. .
