Echo | Daredevil gets beaten up in a leaked scene from the series

Eco’s leaked scene confirms that Daredevil will indeed appear in the series and will still be wearing the red uniform

Only a week left until the premiere of Echothe new series of the Cinematographic Universe of wonder (MCU, its acronym in English), a recorded scene confirmed what fans wanted most to see in the series: yes, Daredevil will appear, and in the classic red uniform.

The scene emerged over the weekend on social media and shows the entire fight sequence between the two characters. The video is recorded from a monitor, which means the image quality isn’t the best, but it’s enough for us to see the Man Without Fear and the new protagonist fall into a heartfelt confrontation — as well as revealing some other interesting details .

The first is that, despite Marvel Studios having stated several times that the new version of Daredevil is not the same Netflixit becomes clear how Echo tries to emulate the spirit of the show that introduced Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. So much so that the entire fight between him and Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) takes place in a single shot, which had become something of a signature of the 2013 adaptation.

Another point is that, contrary to what we have seen in She-Hulk: defender of heroes, the Daredevil who appears in the new series will not be the good-natured and prankster boy nor will he appear in a yellow costume. In just over a minute of scene we only have punches and kicks and the character doesn’t try to be funny at any point, preferring to worry much more about throwing punches and pirouettes.

The return of the red costume, in fact, is something that has worried many fans. Although the yellow uniform has a basis in the comics, as it was the first version of the costume worn by the Man Without Fear in the comics, it is the red version that has been immortalized and by which the Demon of Hell’s Kitchen is recognized. For this reason, it seems that the retro version should only be limited to She-Hulk and Murdock has to go back to his usual red suit.

Why do Daredevil and Echo face each other?

It’s simply not clear what the context of the confrontation in the leaked video is. Since the scene begins in the middle of the action, there is no explanation as to where it takes place in the story. Considering that Maya Lopez acted as one of Kingpin’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) most skilled henchmen, it could be either a flashback to show that the hero and Eco already knew each other, or something in the present, with the Man Without Fear. chasing the girl in search of answers about Fisk’s whereabouts.

This relationship between Daredevil and Eco is something that comes from the comics. The character was created in the early 2000s in Daredevil magazine with exactly this background, being someone manipulated by Kingpin into arguing with Murdock, but who ends up finding out the truth about his “godfather” and shooting himself in the face. Point blank point on the bad guy.

Part of this story was adapted into Archer falcon AND Echo It all begins exactly from the moment Maya shoots Fisk and travels in search of answers about her past and in search of her own identity, something that will concern her Native American origin.

First Marvel Spotlight production

In addition to the confirmed returns of Daredevil and Kingpin, Echo marks yet another big new addition to the MCU. This is the first series of Marvel Spotlight, a new label from the studio that will tell more concrete stories and without major concerns with the great cinematic sagas. So, despite being set in the same universe, there’s no concern about making connections to other titles, being something a little more isolated.

The label was created in 2023 as a way to contain fans’ frustration with each new release on the streaming where audiences were left wondering how that story would connect to the Multiverse Saga. Because now there is a very clear indicator that not all versions will have this connection, being just a nice story to see and enjoy.

Echo arrives at Disney+ and Star+ on January 10 with all episodes available at once.
