We can’t count anymore the actors we discovered thanks to Game of Thrones or part of its cast. Sometimes they cross each other on the set of other productions. This is especially true of Rebel Moon, the Netflix blockbuster directed by Zack Snyder.
It’s not one or two, but three actors from Rebel Moon who have visited Westeros in the past. And two of them played the same role! If you’ve watched the HBO series, then you know we’re talking about Ed Skrein and Michelle Huisman, who play Admiral Noble and Gunnar, a farmer who decides to take up arms, in the Netflix movie.
We’re in Game of Thrones Season 3 when the writers introduce the character of Daario Naharis, a mercenary in Tyro who quickly becomes an ally/lover of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). It was primarily Ed Skrein who gave his features before being replaced by Huisman the following season. The reason for this change is never explained, although Nobel’s interpreter claims to anyone who will listen that it is a political choice.

‘He was hard to talk to’: This Rebel Moon actor was so into his role that he intimidated the camera crew
The latter doesn’t seem to hold any grudges against Huisman, as he explains in this interview. Screenwriter : “We clicked well from the start. There was no awkward moment or anything. He’s a good guy and I had a really good time with him on set.”
Ed Skrein and Michele Heisman aren’t the only two actors from Rebel Moon to star in Game of Thrones. Staz Nair, Tarak’s interpreter, has slipped into a Qono (Dothraki) costume for the past three seasons. But with his suit, beard and long hair, he is much harder to recognize!
In any case, these three actors will return for the second part of Rebel Moon, which is expected on Netflix on April 19.
