Disney’s most famous character, Mickey Mouse, became public domain last Monday, 1st, according to legislation
Following United States legislation, the first version of Mickey Mouse became public domain after 95 years since its original publication. As a result, the Disney character that appears in Steamboat Willie (1928) can be copied by anyone.
Mickey’s Mouse Trap, directed by Jamie Bailey, should be the “first live action horror comedy” with Mickey. The film is scheduled for release in March this year. Read the synopsis:
