How does Palmeiras arrive?

Palmeiras arrives as the big favorite, as it is the current two-time champion of Copinha, its two titles in history. Furthermore, last season Crias da Academia also won the Campeonato Paulista U20. In fact, Estevão is in the squad, another great promise from the club’s base for the next few years.

So much so that Barcelona are already keeping an eye on the young midfielder, considered Endrick’s successor, considering his potential as a jewel of the base. Estevão began to attract the interest of European clubs after a good performance in the last Under-17 World Cup. After all, in the competition held last year, the midfielder scored three goals and three assists in five games.

Coach Lucas Andrade will have a mix of athletes who have already competed in the Copa San Paolo and others from the Under 17s. Some more experienced players are full-backs Gilberto, Edney and Ian, defender Talisca, midfielders Léo and Patrick and the forwards Kauan Santos and Allan. Ian will say goodbye to his time at the base as team captain. While Patrick was the author of Palmeiras’ last title.

Striker Kauan Santos is the protagonist in the Alviverde base. He participated in Copinhas’ 2022 and 2023 seasons, as well as having received an opportunity from Abel Ferreira in last season’s Série A. The player replaced Breno Lopes in the final stretch of the 2-1 defeat against Bragantino.

Two other athletes to keep an eye on are goalkeeper Aranha, author of a great performance in 2023. As well as striker Luighi, top scorer of the Under 17s.
