After the Libertadores and Copa do Brasil titles in 2022, the goalkeeper lost space last season and is expected to sign with Fortaleza
With the arrival of Rossi last season, Santos lost space to Flamengo and the tendency is to leave the Rio club this year. In addition to Dyogo, two other players survived the massive fire that hit Ninho do Urubu and left ten young people dead. They are Jhonata Ventura and Cauan Emanuel. The first had burned 30% of his body and became an employee of the Rio club in 2023. The second, in turn, signed with Fortaleza.
No space last season
After standing out for Atletico-PR, Santos signed with Flamengo in 2022 for around 3 million euros, or around R$15.5 million, at the price at the time. With the red and black shirt he was the overall winner of the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores titles, under the guidance of Dorival Júnior.
The following year, however, he lost space, especially with Jorge Sampaoli. At the time, the Argentine preferred to favor the entry of Matheus Cunha. Furthermore, the Argentine Rossi arrived mid-year and further reduced the chances so that Santos could compete for a place in the starting lineup.
