TF1 tonight broadcasts Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first part of the Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland, connected to the adventures of the Avengers. While the hero has already appeared in Captain America: Civil War, this is the first time he’s appeared solo… or almost, since Iron Man is there too!

Robert Downey Jr.’s godfather, Tony Stark, connects the Civil War adventures and supplies Peter Parker with incredible equipment that will allow him to fight the supervillain Vulture, played by Michael Keaton. But Iron Man isn’t the only Avenger to appear in the film.

If you pause the shot at 12 minutes and 28 seconds into Spider-Man: Homecoming, you’ll see a series of photos in the background of a science class, the last of which is a nod to one of the original members of the famous Avengers:

We can recognize Bruce Banner, aka Hulk played by Mark Ruffalo since The Avengers (2012). Since then, we’ve seen him again in Iron Man 3, Shang-Chi and Captain Marvel cameos, but also Avengers 2, 3 and 4, Thor: Ragnarok and Episode 3 of She-Hulk.

Hulk version Bruce Banner

A clever wink that reinforces the coherence of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by showing that Bruce Banner’s scientific talents are recognized by all as a model and even taught.

In the comics, the Hulk and Spider-Man joined forces in the Marvel Team-Up collection in 1954, then in the Marvel Team-Up Annual in 1979, in which the two superheroes even clashed! The series with Lou Ferrigno was intended to fulfill this fan fantasy with a crossover with The Amazing Spider-Man series directed by Nicholas Hammond, but the project ultimately did not materialize.
