Game of Thrones: the next series will have a surprising shape!

Three Game of Thrones animated series are currently in development by HBO. The writer George R.R. Martin specifically revealed that the House of Dragons spin-off, which centers on Corley’s Velarion sea serpent fleet, could finally see the light of day as an animated production:

“This live-action series would be very expensive to produce, with half of the series going on the high seas, introducing a different port in each episode. (…) and it was the best chance for us to show everything. It’s through animation.”
