For several years, Liam Neeson has specialized in very muscular action movies, from the Taken Saga to Non-Stop, including The Passenger and Night Run. A list that also includes Cold Blood, an ultra-effective thriller devoid of dark and sordid humor that airs on France 3 tonight.

Coming to theaters in 2019, Cold Blood tells the story of Nels Coxman (Liam Neeson), a snowplow driver at a luxury ski resort in Colorado. When his son is killed at the behest of drug lord Viking, he sets out to take down the cartel with unrelenting rage and heavy artillery. His quest for justice quickly turns into ruthless revenge.
The remake of the Norwegian thriller “In Cold Blood” is directed by the same director Hans Peter Moland. The latter explains the plot of the film:
“The first idea came to me when I asked myself: ‘If my son died like this, would I accept what happened?’ Or will I try to do something? And if so, wouldn’t that lead to an endless spiral of violence?”
“It’s a bit of a heavy subject, perfect for a dark comedy”The Scandinavian film director continues. “There was a desire not to stick to one genre, but to allow different genres to coexist harmoniously, to be truly terrifying and tragic, but also funny – like life.
For the purposes of Cold Blood, Liam Neeson had to use three different snow plows. “Damn, they’re amazing cars.”– says the actor. “When you’re behind the wheel, you feel all that power, all that metal power in your hand. These things can swallow snow and throw it 50 meters! Great cars.
And I had the privilege of driving them, for a short time. It gave me a whole new respect for these guys who are responsible for cleaning the roads. These sites can be beautiful, but they also have real harshness.”
