What is Daredevil Reborn about?
Daredevil Born Again doesn’t have an official synopsis yet, but we do know that it won’t be an official sequel to the Netflix series. It’s a retelling of the Marvel superhero, with less violence. House of Ideas took this title from the Rebirth arc introduced by Frank Miller in 1986, in which the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen descends into madness after another hit by the King and tries to escape.
Release date: When and where will Daredevil Born Again season 1 release?
This is the million euro question. In 2022, Marvel announced the launch of a Daredevil series produced entirely for its Disney+ platform. But since then, nothing has gone as planned for filming: between the departure of writers and directors and some pretty disastrous tests, the release has been gradually delayed.
Expected to release in 2024, Daredevil Born Again is only due out in January 2025 if we are to believe it. A rumor spread by the American media.
What do we know about Daredevil Born Again Season 1?
Neither a sequel to the Netflix series nor a reboot of the universe, Daredevil Born Again is somewhat of a hybrid project. And Marvel is struggling to find the tone: should it be as violent as the previous version on such a family-friendly platform? Now we have more questions than answers.
With part of the creative team gone during production, the idea house can make some adjustments and bring Daredevil into the new Spotlight branch, where Echo is already located.
These series are aimed at an older audience due to their violence. Interestingly, the Hell’s Kitchen lawyer appears in Echo in a much darker suit and even gives us a nice fight. It looks good for the future.

Casting: Which characters will appear in Daredevil Born Again?
Matt Murdock/Daredevil: Lawyer by day, superhero by night. Despite his blindness, the New Yorker is ready for any violence to clean up his neighborhood Hell’s Kitchen. Charlie Cox reprises his role in the Disney+ version. After a successful appearance in Spider-Man No Way Home, a failed appearance in She-Hulk and a brief stint in Echo, the actor returns to the villain.
Wilson Fisk / The Boss: He is one of Daredevil’s greatest enemies on screen (but also Spider-Man in the comics). The businessman is going to bring our devil a lot of trouble in this reboot. Who better to play him than Vincent D’Onofrio? The actor has already made a notable comeback in Hawkeye and also stars in Echo.

Frank Castle / The Punisher (played by Jon Bernthal): This ex-soldier has an uncanny sense of justice. He is willing to use any form of violence to get rid of the bad guys. His outlook on life is very different from that of Matt Murdoch, but they can come together when necessary.

Note that Karen and Fogg’s characters will not appear in Daredevil Born Again. Several actors have been announced in the casting (including Michael Gandolfini), but their roles are still under wraps.
Is Daredevil Born Again Season 2 in the works?
Daredevil season 1 should have 18 episodes unless the creative team’s recent tweaks throw off the whole strategy. Whether or not they will be split into two seasons remains to be seen, as the second has already been ordered by Marvel for Disney.
