Forget the “Milwaukee Cannibal” played by Evan Peters and discover brothers Lyle and Eric Menendez in Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Eric Menendez. These two Americans are known for the murder of their parents, Jose and Mary Menendez, in 1989.
The case made headlines because the brothers made shocking revelations during their highly publicized trial: They had allegedly been sexually abused by their father throughout their childhood. This information is confirmed by several testimonies and details.

But the murders of Jose and Mary Menendez are still shrouded in mystery, as their fortunes totaled $14 million and some believe financial motivation prevailed above all else. Lyle and Eric Menendez were eventually sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan set their sights on young actors Cooper Koch (They/Them, Swallowed) and Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Central Hospital) as the Menendez brothers.
