It All Begins Here: What’s in store for Thursday 18 January 2024 episode 842 [SPOILERS]

Tessier ends his friendship with Mark

Back at the Institute the day before, Tacy discovered everything that had happened between the extreme module and the cooking marathon. He confesses to Constance that Mark has become completely irresponsible. His wife replies that he has always acted without thinking of the consequences and that this should not be a personal story. But Tessier no longer trusts his friend. He wonders if he’s going to get fired.

On the other hand, upon arriving at the institute with his children, Mark admits that he may not be able to stay as a professor because he is taking a risk to help someone. In any case, he does not regret his experience at school, which allowed him to become close to Jim and Thibault. They also admit that they learned a lot from him.

Meanwhile, David joins his friends – Lionel, Jasmine, Solal, Jude and Deva – at the park to apologize for the cooking marathon incident. He explains to them the reasons for his recent behavior and admits out loud that he became an alcoholic after the injury to Due Chesney. If Jasmine regrets not seeing anything before, Lionel congratulates his friend for finding the courage to tell them the truth.

David then takes Judah aside to make a more personal apology. He realizes that he treated her badly when he was only trying to help her. Now that he has confessed his problem to everyone, David is even more afraid of breaking up. Judy promises her that she will be there, like all her friends, to help her get up.

In the locker room, Jasmine talks about David’s situation with Jim and Thibault. Both immediately relate what their father told them that morning. They begin to fear that David will be fired for keeping his secret. Jasmine tries to comfort her boyfriend. She grabs his arm, then changes her mind when she sees Jimmy’s eyes on them.

Meanwhile, Claire and Olivia discuss the positive effects the extreme module has had on the students, especially Deva and Lionel, who have gained confidence in themselves. They talk about it with Antoine and Clotilda, who agree. Therefore, the teacher wants to support Leros Tacey in the face of the threat of dismissal.

Later, Mark comes to see Tayce. The latter tells him that his colleagues were able to convince him to stay at the institute. However, Teissier specifies that their relationship will be strictly professional. In his eyes, their friendship is broken…

Bérénice signed up for pastry days

In the amphitheater, Teissier announces to the students that in three weeks, pastry days will be held at the institute. For the lucky ones, it will be an opportunity to work as part of the advertising team, of which he will be the supervisor. If Carla is too enthusiastic, Berenice is worried. As for Maya, she hears Ethan say that he’s going to participate.

Later, Maya talks to Carla and Berenice and admits that she’s still hesitant to sign up because she feels like she’s not up to par. Karla, on the other hand, was the first to register. Once Maya leaves, Carla realizes that Berenice is also hesitant due to poor stress management. Reminding her of all her skills and talents, Carla managed to convince her friend to sign up.

When Berenia passes by their house during the day, Teissier takes the opportunity to question her about the registration. He asks her if she really thinks she has the shoulders for this kind of event. Constance intervenes to protect her sister. As Berenia leaves, Constance adds that she wishes she had encouraged him more.

Later, the results come. In the kitchen, Ethan and Tom learn that they have been selected. This does not apply to Maya, who does not hide her disappointment. The two boys then look at the rest of the shortlist: Solal, Karla and Berenica are among them.

Ethan and Tom are surprised by the latter’s presence. Tom immediately assumes that Tessier was empowering him. Anais, who overheard their conversation, interrupts them so they can focus on their work.

Hortense wants to help Vic and Enzo

Noticing that Vicky is distant from Enzo, Anais pushes her ex to prove him wrong. Enzo explains that their relationship lacks intimacy, mainly because he puts too much pressure on himself and doesn’t know how to handle it. Anais reassures him, saying that all couples go through this phase, but this one will pass.

In turn, Hortense prepares a special aphrodisiac for Vic and Enzo. He enlists Mehdi’s help to get his sister to her room, but he prefers not to be involved in their news.

Hortense manages to cook everything alone in Vicky’s room. He discovers him, quickly joined by Enzo. A young man gets this attention – which he thinks is Vicki. It feels more comfortable than in CDI. He suggests putting on some music to add a bit of atmosphere.

Suddenly, the speaker switches to playing the voice of Hortense’s last message. The latter hopes that his gimmick will work and Vickie and Enzo will be able to spark.

Annoyed to learn that Vic told his sister all about their relationship problems, Enzo leaves. He blames Vic for not talking to him in the first place. The girl replies that every time she tried, he ran away or turned things into jokes. If Vic now wants to discuss the problem, it’s no longer about Enzo, who prefers to leave.
