Season 3 of L’Amie prodigieuse is available on myCANAL.
When Elena Greco’s old friend seems to have disappeared without a trace, this woman obsessed with literature decides to write the story of their friendship. Her meeting with Rafaela Serulo, whom she always nicknamed Lila, dates back to the first year of elementary school in 1950.
More than 60 years of friendship, against the backdrop of the dangerous and fascinating city of Naples, which fate and decades will try to undermine, while the two friends finally continue on different paths of life.
Fully available on myCANAL and from June 23 on CANAL +, with 2 episodes in the evening. And for good reason, it has been more than two years since we left Elena and Lila, the two characters in this Italian TV series adapted from Elena Ferrante’s autobiographical bestsellers.
If the first two seasons took place in the 50s and 60s respectively and gave us the opportunity to meet two little girls who became friends before they continued their adolescence quarrels, reconciliations and love stories, the big comeback of the series will once again look interesting. .
Still playing Marguerite Mazuco and Gaia Giras, the duo of our beloved friends have already reached adulthood this new season and plunged us into 1970s Italy. Based on the third novel of the literary saga, The Fugitive and Those Who Remain, these 8 new episodes are highlighted by the then-fierce political context of the day: a thrilling backdrop between Lila (the rest) and Elena (the fugitive) in Naples.
While the former managed to abandon a wealthy abusive husband and struggled to live as a single mother despite difficult working conditions, the latter escaped and became a successful writer. Even though they are separated, the past connects them forever and their friendship develops at the same time as Italy undergoes complete political and social change.

Inspired by the New Hollywood, a new wave of French, this season 3 is marked by the arrival of Daniel Luchetti beyond the camera. The Italian film director to whom we owe The Ties That Unite Us is the show’s host and historical director Saverio Costanzo. The bet was brilliantly accepted on this return of L’Amie prodigieuse … to put it mildly amazing!
