Friday 19 January A more beautiful life, even more beautiful

Mirta takes Steve under her wing

At Massalia’s residence, Steve is still trying to explain his situation to the student grants department, but the person on the other end of the line doesn’t seem willing to answer him. As a result, his bank account is in the red and he can no longer afford to feed himself. Mirta overhears the phone conversation but decides not to tell Steve about it.

At lunch, he asks the young man if he can taste the stew he has just cooked. He makes her believe that he needs her opinion before offering his daughter a meal. Steve takes this opportunity to fill his belly. He finds the stew tasty but slightly spicy. Myrta replies that her daughter doesn’t like spicy food, so she gives her utensils.

Later that day, Steve goes to the residence to thank Mirta. He asks her if she happened to be listening in on his phone conversation, but Mirta acts ignorant. Mirta and Yolande definitely do their best to brighten up the youth’s day.

Patrick and Jean-Paul join forces

Jean-Paul got off on the wrong foot this morning. And for good reason, he has an appointment with the prefect, but he hasn’t ironed a single shirt. He notices that Patrick is always neatly dressed and asks if he would agree to iron his clothes in exchange for the services of a good and loyal handyman. But Patrick, not fooled, agrees on the condition that Jean-Paul does the cleaning and not the tinkering.

When Leah comes home from work, she finds that Jean-Paul has cleaned the entire house. She is pleasantly surprised, especially when she notices that her husband has ironed his shirt. Jean-Paul is proud of himself and brags that he made an effort.

Unfortunately, this praise is short-lived. Patrick, unaware of Leah’s presence, enters the room and loudly proclaims, “I thought the best part is that I don’t always iron your clothes.” Leah realizes that Jean-Paul brought her.

Estelle admits

At the police station, Estelle is at her wits end. The long hours of questioning have exhausted him and he is ready to break the silence. He reveals that Francesco has been poisoned with atropine. She explains that she acted alone and put a few drops of poison in her husband’s coffee every day. But Samuel is skeptical, he’s convinced that Javad is also in on the game.

A few meters away, in another room, Master Kepler continues to protect his client. He disputes the validity of the atropine wrapper evidence found under Javad’s mattress. In the end, he managed to end his client’s imprisonment.

As he leaves, Javad is attacked by Francesco. The latter threatens and tries to hit him, and then breaks into the police station, hoping to see his wife. Ariane informs him that Estelle has confessed.

Silvia, who heard the news, immediately goes to her brother. When he arrives, he finds that Francesco has started drinking again. The latter states: “It’s a disaster, nothing goes as planned. I didn’t want this to happen, it was Javad who should have gone to prison.” Suddenly, Francesco reveals that he poisoned himself.
