The cult anthology series Fargo is finally back! With the first two episodes airing on CANAL+ on Thursday, January 18, Season 5 of this hit TV series hits hard from the start with some already memorable series.
This new round of episodes focuses on a seemingly ordinary housewife who doesn’t hesitate to fight back when a group of assailants try to kidnap her.
In episode 2 of the season, one scene probably caught the attention of the audience: Jon Hamm got out of the jacuzzi completely naked in front of two FBI agents.
Headlining this 5th chapter, alongside Juno Temple and Jennifer Jason Leigh, star of Mad Men and Top Gun: Maverick plays a brutal and ruthless sheriff who is ready to destroy all who stand in his way.
In the freezing cold of the North Dakota region where his ranch is, enjoying an outdoor hot tub, his character Roy Tillman is interrupted by the arrival of two federal agents. Determined not to be intimidated by the guests’ questions, he then reveals himself to be the easiest!
Asked about the sequence, which also reveals another major surprise — a nipple piercing — Jon Hamm returns to the significance of this bare moment for the season’s titular antagonist:
“It shouldn’t be sexual (…). It’s typical of the character: wearing Adam’s clothes is a way to express his power, oddly enough. So when Noah He offered it to me, I immediately agreed.”
The actor also explains that he has no discomfort with his body: “I’ve never had the muscular body of an Italian statue, so I don’t worry about being judged for my ‘dad body.’ Although I am not a father.
It doesn’t bother me. I really like this scene, probably because I was in a warm place when it was very cold outside, so I was happy to stay in this jacuzzi.”
