‘It’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever experienced’: Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney opens up about filming this shocking Season 2 scene

Everyone knows the show Hot Ones, in which celebrities open up about their careers between bites of hot sauce-covered wings. Although the French version saw the light of day with Kyan Khojandi, in the American show that has been running for several seasons, huge stars continue to test their tolerance for the world’s hottest pepper.

A guest on the show to promote his new movie Everything But You, Sidney Sweeney also returned to the series that made him famous: Euphoria. Although no filming date has been announced for the third season, the HBO series continues to make waves for its shocking content and many explicit sex scenes.

But the shocking sequence mentioned by the American actor is not about nudity, but about… vomit! When asked by the host about his worst filming memory, Sidney Sweeney recalled a sequence in which his character vomits in a large jet in a jacuzzi.

Hot Ones (US version) with Sydney Sweeney:

“Vomiting absolutely everywhere”

For this type of scene, the camera crew creates a kind of mixed paste made of water and milk, which the actors put in their mouths to pretend to vomit. But this method was not considered enough by the creator of the series, Sam Levinson.

“It was a lot of work because Sam sure wanted to throw up all over the place”explained Sydney Sweeney on the show. “They installed a pump connected to a tube attached to my body and then removed it with digital special effects. (…) Then I opened my mouth and it came out. It’s the most disgusting scene I’ve ever seen. My whole life.”

Thanks to the success of Euphoria, the American actress took on major projects. Soon to appear in Madame Web, the Spider-Man spin-off, Sidney Sweeney is currently filming Eden, the new Ron Howard film, before reprising her role as Cassie Howard while filming Euphoria Season 3.

The first two seasons of Euphoria can now be viewed on Warner Pass, available as a paid subscription to Prime Video.
