Is it worth checking out?
Each decade, its own family series. After a wonderful family in the 90s and Don’t do this, don’t do that During the 2000s, it’s La Tribu’s turn to carve out a niche.
For this occasion, TF1 offers a funny and unusual fiction that follows a barely blended family with a busy life. Having recently moved in together, Camille and Martin will have to succeed in the coexistence of their two families, which are diametrically opposed to each other.
And between scorned ex-spouses and a surprise that risks changing everything, life is far from smooth sailing for the couple.
With its breakneck pace and funny situations, La Tribu is a funny and touching series that manages to combine humor and much more dramatic moments thanks to well-felt dialogues that rely on an impeccable sense of timing.
Jonathan Zakai and Alix Poisson
As for the casting, Alix Poisson, who recently shone for the role of Sambri in the drama series, and Jonathan Zakai, known for his role in Bureau of Legends, share an alchemy that gives the series an unparalleled realism. They bring their characters to life without mockery or exaggeration.
If Camille and Martin are an ill-matched couple, we quickly learn that it’s their differences and their love for each other that gives them strength in the face of this difficult tribe to navigate.
In short, La Tribu is a well-written and charming comedy that should appeal to as many people as possible. This is a pleasant surprise at the beginning of the year!
