First available on Amazon Prime Video in early 2023, the excellent French war series Cœurs Noirs concludes this Monday 5 February 2024 from 21:10 on France 2.
Fiction by Nicolas Duuchel, Marie Dompnier (Les Témoins), Tewfik Jalabi (Engrenages, Oussekine), Nina Meurice (Mixte), Thierry Godard and Jérémy Nadeau, among others, takes us to Iraq in October 2016, the day before. in the battle for Mosul and follows the daily life of a French special forces commando stationed there.
Even as France faces new threats of attacks, the men and women of Group 45 are on a mission to find and expel the daughter and granddaughter of an important French emir of Daesh, whom they have captured and who will only cooperate with them on this condition.
A mission with many twists and turns for the heroes of Cœurs Noirs, leading up to the last two episodes of the first season, with high tension and a finale that ends on a terrifying cliffhanger. Season 2 of Cœurs Noirs is being written
The answer is yes! Cœurs Noirs producers announced in June 2023 that the series would indeed be returning for a second round of episodes soon…but first on Amazon Prime Video.
“The second season is currently being written, it will be done”Cœurs Noirs director Ziad Douiri, who previously worked on Baron Noir and Dérapages, is set to direct the sequel to the Premier Video War series.
“I’m obviously ready to return as a director. I hope the public will follow our characters’ journey, enjoy the first season, and we’ll be able to shoot new episodes soon.”.
A feeling shared by the cast of the series, as Marie Dompnier, who plays intelligence officer Adele, and who told us behind the scenes of the filming, told us about these 2 seasons:
