According to the Military Police, the victims were identified as Roseli da Silva Santos41 years old, mother of Emily Raiane Lara dos Santos22nd Agner Santos Coutinho, 17 years. The three were taken to Rio Branco do Sul hospital and their death was confirmed at the scene.
“They were all happy, they sent me photos and videos. It was 1.13pm. My niece sent me a message which was a video of them playing. There was a slide, they went up and down. They were all happy, and from any moment I heard the news,” said Ivone da Silva Santos, mother of Rosei and grandmother of Emily and Agner.
Ivone also reported to RPC that the family is very shaken by what happened: “I ask God to give me strength. It won’t be easy, it won’t be easy, my God,” he said.
In addition to the three fatal victims, nine other people also received electric shocks and were treated, but there are no updates on their health.
According to the prime minister, the 41-year-old owner of the farm said that an electric cable broke and fell into the swimming pool, where about 20 people were. He said that, upon hearing the explosion, he ran to the edge to rescue them, pulling them out and attempting to carry out resuscitation maneuvers.

The city of Rio Branco do Sul published a note regretting the incident.
“Our teams are providing all the necessary support to the families. In this moment of sadness, the Municipality expresses its solidarity with the families and friends of the victims and with all the people who witnessed this tragic accident”, reads the press release from common.
The Paraná Civil Police is investigating the case. “Preliminary information indicates that a power cord came loose and fell into the pool, killing three people and injuring nine others,” he said.
