A Stone employee makes a mistake and posts a carnival story on the company’s network; see how to avoid

The employee was not fired and the company still took the opportunity to joke about the situation

An employee of the Stone company went viral on social media after committing a small gaffe. The young woman posted a video on the company’s Instagram of herself enjoying the carnival blocks last weekend, planning to post it on her personal account.

Despite the mistake, the employee was not fired and the company still took the opportunity to joke about the situation.

The videos were recorded and reposted by user X this Monday (5). The post went viral and, as of this Tuesday (6), has had more than 12.5 million views.

Overwhelmed by the fun, fintech Stone took advantage of the viral sensation and even reposted the video of the collaborator dancing on his blog.

Then, on Stone’s official social network, the collaborator appears in a video with the caption: “URGENT: I took advantage of the fact that I’m still logged in and came to bring updates!!!”

“You thought I was going to shoot, but here at Stone we only vote to shoot”, said the young woman, taking advantage of the company’s slogan “Bota para spin”, in the sponsorship made to Big Brother Brasil 24.

Organizations must observe vulnerability gaps and establish a security posture that involves staff training and awareness, explains the Byte Vinícius Boemeke, CEO and co-founder of Pulsus, a leading company in enterprise mobile device management.

“Today there are already technologies that allow you to create a work profile within your personal mobile phone, and allow the application of rules and policies capable of guaranteeing the security of company data by completely isolating the personal and work profile, maintaining the complete user privacy,” says Boemeke.

These technologies, developed for corporate use, also allow control over access to corporate resources, explains the Pulsus CEO.

“This control can be done automatically at pre-set times or manually by the user, to avoid notifications during rest or free time.”

The same technology allows the duplication of applications such as WhatsApp and Instagram, separating the personal account from the professional one to prevent access to the professional account when the work profile is deactivated.

The risks mainly depend on the technologies involved, such as vulnerable software, remote access to data and organizational systems, information sharing, databases and network infrastructures, and entail serious consequences for companies, such as:

  • Theft of information and improper access to internal systems in case of loss or theft – if there is no password or a password with low complexity on the screen;
  • Loss of information or compromise of data and/or credentials in the event of a virus;
  • Malware and other cyber attacks.

“It is essential to structure systems that help avoid risks and facilitate the management of mobile phones,” said Vinícius Boemeke.

The main initiatives that digital security companies follow are:

  • Send a command to lock the device and change the screen password;
  • Change the device usage policy, removing sensitive applications and data remotely;
  • Access the management system to try to locate the device (GPS);
  • Make a police report.
