The traditional Italian event has 30 competitors
– The fourth evening of the traditional Sanremo Festival, the last before the final, saw duets between the 30 competing artists and other big names in Italian and international music.
Among the illustrious presences, the presenter and artistic director Amadeus greeted Prince Albert of Monaco and co-presented the ?showgirl? Lorella Cuccarini.
Representatives of the police force equipped with drug-sniffing dogs also took to the stage, paying homage to the animals that protect the Ariston Theater itself during the event, such as Leo and Chanel.
The first competitor, Sangiovanni, sang ?Farfalle? And? Moths? with Aitana; and Annalisa, an audience favorite, sang ?Sweet Dreams? with La Representative dilista and the Artemia choir.
Among the Italian classics, Rose Villain performed a medley with Gianna Nannini; Gazelle and Fulminacci sang ?Night before the exams?, the Kolors did a medley with Umberto Tozzi; Alfa and Roberto Vecchioni performed ?Sogna,boy,dream?, and Bnkr44 sang the classic ?Ma Quale Idea?, with Pino D?Angiò (which features a Brazilian version by Sérgio Mallandro, ?Mas Que Ideia?).
Irama and Riccardo Cocciante sang ?When love ends?, Fiorella Mannoia and Francesco Gabbani sang ?Che sia benedetta? and ?Western?s Karma?, and French Saints and Skin sang ?Hallelujah?.
Ricchi e Poveri and Paola e Chiara chose “It will be because I love you” and “Mamma Maria”; Ghali a medley with Ratchopper; Clara ?The circle of life? with Ivana Spagna; Loredana Bertè ?My boy? with Venus; and Geolier a medley with Guè, Luchè and Gigi D’Alessio.
Angelina Mango was chosen for ?La rondine? with a string quartet from the Orchestra of Rome; Alessandra Amoroso for a medley with Boomdabash, Dargen D’Amico for a tribute to Ennio Morricone with the BabelNova Orchestra; Mahmood with ?How deep is the sea? with Bitti’s Tenors
The schedule also included a preview of Mr Rain with ?Mary? of Different Twins; Negramaro and Malika Ayane with ?The song of the sun; Emma and Bresh in a medley by Tiziano Ferro; Il Volo and Stef Burns with ?Who Wants to Live Forever?; Diodato and Jack Savoretti with ?Amore que ordini, amore che vai?; and La Sad with ?Lamette?, with Donatella Rettore.
To close the evening Il Ter and Fabrizio Moro with a Medley; BigMama with ?Lady Marmalade? with the Italian-Brazilians Gaia, La Niña and Sissi; Maninni and Ermal Meta with ?You didn’t do anything to me?; Fred de Palma and Eiffel 65 in one medley, and Renga and Nek in another.
