Pabllo Vittar block closed after revelers fainted from heat in Sao Paulo

The carnival groups of Pabllo Vittar and Michel Teló attracted large numbers of revelers. But the intense heat meant the drag queen’s performance ended sooner than expected.




The carnival blocks Pablo Vittar and Bem Sertanejo, from Michel Telobrought a crowd of fans to the Ibirapuera Park region, in Sao Paulo, on the afternoon of this Sunday the 11th. However, the intense heat made the protesters feel unwell during the performance of the drag queen, who had to end the procession before the expected .

The Pabllo Block was supposed to start concentrating at 12:30, but ended up arriving late. Revelers even booed before the singer joined the trio.

The meeting of the two marches, that of Pabllo and that of Teló, was visible in the aerial images taken by the Military Police. Watch the video below:

“I thought they were going to trample me to death,” wrote one Internet user at the Pabllo block on Twitter.

Pabllo Vittar joined his trio dressed in a look in homage to pará singer Joelma.

“Joelma is considered one of Brazil’s greatest performers. In 1999 she began her career with the Calypso Band, in 2016 she began her solo career, which she continues to this day. Joelma is known for her stage presence and ability to sing and dance at the same time in high-heeled platform boots, without losing her breath. Joelma is our national heritage,” the drag queen wrote on her Instagram.
